Some of Eligibility Requirements:
- International students enrolled in a master’s or doctoral course at GSFS as a 1-year regular student, having a “College Student” residential status, as of April 1st, 2024.
- Those who are 38 years old or younger as of April 1st, 2024.
- Those who can give precedence to attend events organized by the foundation.
- Those who are able to communicate in Japanese.
- Those who are expected to study for at least one year before completing the required minimum period of study.
- Those who are in good physical and mental health, have excellent academic performance and character.
- Those who can receive a recommendation by their supervisor.
- Those who intend to work in the private or government sectors, educational institutions in the future and contribute to society through industrial and cultural activities, or those who intend to conduct academic research related to these activities.
- Those who are deemed to have difficulty in financing their studies.
- Those who can open a bank account at Mitsubishi UFJ Trust Bank Tokyo Branch on their own.
主な応募資格:
- 2024年4月1日現在、本研究科の修士・博士課程1年に在籍し、在留資格が「留学」であるもの。
- 2024年4月1日現在、満38歳以下であること。
- 財団主催行事への出席を優先できる者。
- 日本語でのコミュニケーションが可能な者。
- 最短修業年限までの給費期間が1年以上見込まれる者。
- 心身ともに健康で、学業成績、人物ともに優れているもの。
- 指導教員の推薦が受けられる者
- 将来、民間企業・官公庁・学校等に勤務して、産業・文化面で活動し社会に貢献しようと志す者、またはこれらの活動に関連する学術の研究を志す者。
- 学資の支弁が困難と認められる者。
- 採用後、三菱UFJ信託銀行（本店）に自身で普通預金口座を開設できる者。

How to apply:
Applicants must fill out the online application form below and upload the following documents.
- Application Form for Scholarship from private Foundations
- Transcript of your current course (or your previous course if you have not obtained any credits.)
- Copy of Japanese Proficiency certificate
- Copy of Residence card
- Copy of Student ID/ Admission Certificate

Note:
Before submitting your application, be sure to read Steps to apply
You cannot apply for other scholarships through UTokyo if you receive the university’s recommendation to the Foundation.
Scholarships with the University recommendation cannot be declined. Please consider carefully which scholarship you will apply for.
The Application Form for Private Foundation Scholarships should be signed by the applicant’s supervisor at GSFS and submitted in PDF format for online submission.
注意：
書類を提出する前に、必ず民間奨学金応募、財団募集要項を確認のうえ応募してください。
推薦を得た場合、他の大学推薦の奨学金に応募できなくなります（併給可の場合を除く）。
大学推薦の奨学金は辞退ができません。奨学金の内容をよく確認してから、申請してください。
民間奨学金調書をアップロードする際、新領域での指導教員がサインをした後、PDF化しアップロードしてください。
