Some of Eligibility Requirements:
- Those who are a national of above stated countries.
- International students enrolled in GSFS as a regular master’s or doctoral course student, studying social sciences, mainly law, economics, business management; however natural sciences and medicine also applicable.
- Those who are in good academic and personal standing and in good physical and mental health.
- Those who are not receiving any other scholarship and who have left their parents’ home and need financial support for their study abroad.
- Those who are under 30 years of age as of 1 April 2024 (excluding current recipients), having a “College Student” residential status.
- Those who are able to conduct their daily life in Japanese.
- Those who have a strong interest in international understanding and goodwill, and a strong desire to contribute to the development of the international community.
- Those who are able to participate in official events organized by the Foundation.
- Those who are willing to interact with the local community on their own.
- Those who can receive a recommendation from their supervisor.
主な応募資格:
- 上記対象国の国籍を有する者。
- 本研究科に正規生として在籍し、主として法学、経済学、経営学等の社会科学系を学ぶ者。理工系、医学系を学ぶ者も可。
- 学業、人材共に優秀、かつ心身共に健康な者。
- 他の奨学金を受けておらず、親許を離れ、留学生活上経済的援助が必要な者。
- 2024年4月1日現在満年齢30歳以下の者（但し継続者は除く）で、在留資格が「留学」であるもの。
- 日本語により日常生活を行うことが出来る者。
- 国際理解と親善に強い関心をもち、国際社会の発展に貢献する意欲の強い者。
- 三菱UFJ国際財団が主催する公式行事に、原則必ず参加出来る者。
- 地域社会と独力で交流する意思を持つ者。
- 指導教員の推薦を受けられる者。

How to apply:
Applicants must fill out the online application form below and upload the following documents.
- Application Form for Scholarship from private Foundations
- Transcript of your current course (or your previous course if you have not obtained any credits.)
- Copy of Residence card
- Copy of Student ID/Admission Certificate

- 現課程の成績証明書、現課程の成績がない場合は前課程の成績証明書
- 在留カードの写し
- 学生証/入学許可書の写し

When uploading, each file must be named as follows: Student No_your name_doc name.
各ファイルのファイル名は、次のようにしてください：学籍番号_氏名_書類名。

Note:
Before submitting your application, be sure to read Steps to apply
You cannot apply for other scholarships through UTokyo if you receive the university’s recommendation to the Foundation.
Scholarships with the University recommendation cannot be declined. Please consider carefully which scholarship you will apply for.
The Application Form for Private Foundation Scholarships should be signed by the applicant’s supervisor at GSFS and submitted in PDF format for online submission.
注意：
書類を提出する前に、必ず民間奨学金応募、財団募集要項を確認のうえ応募してください。
推薦を得た場合、他の大学推薦の奨学金に応募できなくなります（併給可の場合を除く）。
大学推薦の奨学金は辞退ができません。奨学金の内容をよく確認してから、申請してください。
民間奨学金調書をアップロードする際、新領域での指導教員がサインをした後、PDF化しアップロードしてください。
