Some of Eligibility Requirements:
- International students who are enrolled as regular students in the first year of a master’s course at GSFS with a residence status “College Student”, and studying Humanities, Social Science.
- Those who are of excellent academic and personal character and be in good health.
- Those who are proficient in communicating in Japanese.
- Those who are considered to have difficulty in paying for their studies. (Those who do not receive a scholarship of 100,000 yen or more per month.)
- Those who are interested in and contribute to mutual understanding and friendship with Japan.
- Those who are under the age of 30 years (as of March 31, 2024).
- Those who are not involved in anti-social forces that fall under the trustee’s rules and regulations.
- Successful applicants must attend the meeting held by the foundation on July 26 (Fri).
主な応募資格:
- 新領域の正規生として修士課程一年次に在籍し、在留資格が「留学」であるもので、人文及び社会に関する諸分野を研究する者
- 学業、人物ともに優秀であり、かつ健康である者
- 日本語による意思伝達に堪能である者
- 学資の支弁が困難と認められる者（月額10万円以上の奨学金を受けていない者）
- わが国との相互理解と友好親善に関心を持ち、貢献をする者
- 年齢が30才未満の者(2024年3月31日現在)
- 受託者の規程に該当する反社会的勢力に関わらない者
- 7月26日（金）に開催する例会に必ず参加できる者

How to apply:
Applicants must fill out the online application form below and upload the following documents.
- Application Form for Scholarship from private Foundations
- Transcript (from undergrad to graduate)
- Copy of Residence card
- Copy of Student ID

応募者はオンライン申請フォームより、必要書類を期日までにアップロードしてください

When uploading, each file must be named as follows: Student No_your name_doc name.
各ファイルのファイル名は、次のようにしてください：学籍番号_氏名_書類名。

Note:
Before submitting your application, be sure to read Steps to apply
You cannot apply for other scholarships through UTokyo if you receive the university’s recommendation to the Foundation (except in cases where concurrent receipt is permitted).
Scholarships with the University recommendation cannot be declined. Please consider carefully which scholarship you will apply for.
The Application Form for Private Foundation Scholarships should be signed by the applicant’s supervisor at GSFS and submitted in PDF format for online submission.
注意：
書類を提出する前に、必ず民間奨学金応募、財団募集要項を確認のうえ応募してください。
推薦を得た場合、他の大学推薦の奨学金に応募できなくなります（併給可の場合を除く）。
大学推薦の奨学金は辞退ができません。奨学金の内容をよく確認してから、申請してください。
民間奨学金調書をアップロードする際、新領域での指導教員がサインをした後、PDF化しアップロードしてください。
