Some of Eligibility Requirements:
- International students, mainly from Asia, Africa and South America, who come to Japan to study or conduct research in the field of “Food, Nutrition and Health”.
- Those who are enrolled or admitted enrolling as regular students in GSFS.
- Those who have demonstrated academic excellence, good character, good physical and mental health and need financial support.
- Those who are under 30 years old as of April 4, 2024.
- Those who can obtain the recommendation of their supervisor (professor or associate professor).
主な応募資格:
- アジア、アフリカ、南米地域を中心とした国の国籍を有し、「食・栄養・保健」分野の学業並びに研究のための来日している留学生。
- 新領域に正規生として在籍し、または在籍が確定している者。
- 学業人物ともに優秀で、かつ心身ともに健康で、真に経済的援助を必要とする者。
- 2024年4月1日現在で、年齢が30歳未満の者。
- 指導教員（教授または准教授）の推薦を受けられる者。

How to apply:
Applicants must submit the Online Application Form below by April 17 (Wed) and submit necessary application documents to the International Liaison Office by April 25 (Thu). Submission by the post mail will be accepted.
- Application Form for Scholarship from private Foundations (UTokyo Form)
- Copy of Student ID (For internal procedure)
- Foundation’s application form (with photo) including Study plan
- Recommendation letter of your supervisor (Professor or Assoc Professor)
- Transcript of your current course (or your previous course if you have not obtained any credits.)
- Certificate of Enrollment
- Copy of your passport (page with your photo)

応募方法
応募者はオンライン申請フォームを4月17日（水）までに提出し、必要書類を4月25日（木）までに国際交流室に提出してください。郵送での提出も受付けます。
- 民間奨学金調書（学内使用）
- 学生証の写し（学内使用）
- 財団願書（写真添付）・研究計画書
- 指導教員推薦状（教授または准教授）
- 現課程の成績証明書、現課程の成績がない場合は前課程の成績証明書
- 在学証明書
- パスポートの写し

Note:
Before submitting your application, be sure to read Steps to apply
You cannot apply for other scholarships through UTokyo if you receive the university’s recommendation to the Foundation.
Scholarships with the University recommendation cannot be declined. Please consider carefully which scholarship you will apply for.
The Application Form for Private Foundation Scholarships should be signed by the applicant’s supervisor at GSFS and submitted in PDF format for online submission.
注意：
書類を提出する前に、必ず民間奨学金応募、財団募集要項を確認のうえ応募してください。
推薦を得た場合、他の大学推薦の奨学金に応募できなくなります（併給可の場合を除く）。
大学推薦の奨学金は辞退ができません。奨学金の内容をよく確認してから、申請してください。
